Pick Your Own

“A love of farming has been passed down through generations of my family. My father was raised by his grandparents on a dairy farm, and though they were forced out by the Army Corp of Engineers & Eminent Domain, his love of the land and its gifts only deepened. His motto for our family has always been ‘Bloom where you were planted.’ Like my father, my mother possesses a deep reverence for the land, and, after ten years of searching, they found a place where their shared love of it could take root, a place where they cultivated my passion for it and a place where I hope to pass the same on to my own daughters — the place we named Bloomsbury Farm.”

What Rings True — The Cowbell Difference

Agriculture

Bloomsbury is Certified Organic and GAP Certified—two gold-star seals that mean no pesticides, no chemicals, no shortcuts. Organic is USDA-approved, and GAP dives deep into the nitty gritty: water testing, food safety, equipment, record-keeping, and more.

Locality

Home to the Bloomsbury Farm School, where kids learn what it means to be stewards of the natural world. A thriving CSA program supplies locals with fresh, organic produce, while nearby restaurants build their menus around what’s in season.

Enrichment

Visitors are invited to tour the farm, meet the farmer, and learn how things grow at Bloomsbury. Year-round, the farm hosts hands-on workshops; from seed starting and pottery to yoga, all designed to connect people to the land and the work it takes to nourish it.

Meet The Steward

Lauren didn’t just build a farm, she built a way home. Her farm is a homegrown love letter to family, food, and the land that raised her. With a master’s in social work and a heart made for service, Lauren weaves community care into everything she grows. Hospitality? Organic veggies? A table big enough for everyone? She’s got it covered. Farming isn’t just her job, it’s her way of giving back, of teaching, of showing up.
